In questo spettacolo su CELESTINO V dunque desideriamo affrontare alcuni importanti momenti della vita e delle opere del personaggio senza la pretesa di essere precisi nella ricostruzione della storia minore; ma con il desiderio di diffondere la conoscenza di un uomo che, eremita, papa e poi santo, è certamente degno della nostra massima considerazione.
Attraverso la magia del teatro è nostro intento ricreare le atmosfere e le suggestioni che può emanare una storia del medioevo, far rivivere la vita di un uomo che molto spesso si confonde con la sua leggenda e con il fascinoso mondo dei cavalieri Templari e del Santo Gral. Ovviamente il nostro è uno spettacolo teatrale, pertanto attento al lato appunto spettacolare. Cercando di essere esatti nella sostanza storica ci permettiamo di avvalorare alcune suggestive tesi che forse appartengono più alla leggenda che alla realtà.
Ispirati dalla singolare vicenda umana dell'eremita abruzzese e consapevoli delle innumerevoli leggende che avvolgono la storia della sua rinuncia al trono di Pietro e della sua misteriosa morte, l'impianto drammaturgico avrà lo scopo di rievocare Celestino V nella sua epoca storica,e contemporaneamente quello di rileggere la storia di un uomo che si trova a dover fronteggiare il suo grande ed amaro destino.
Riferimento non secondario per la realizzazione di questo progetto speciale è il testo scritto dall'abruzzese Ignazio Silone intitolato L'AVVENTURA DI UN POVERO CRISTIANO che venne realizzato in teatro nel 1968 per la regia di Valerio Zurlini con Giancarlo Giannini, prodotto dallo stabile dell'Aquila, e una serie di documenti originali dell’epoca che Riccardo Reim, non certo nuovo a simili operazioni, ha utilizzato nella stesura definitiva del testo intitolato: "Celestino V , Laica rappresentazione per il piccolo santo Pier Celestino".
Il progetto proposto da Teatrozeta sarà messo in scena il 28 dicembre 2009 a L’Aquila, e segnerà l’inizio della nuova stagione teatrale VOLO LIBERO, giunta alla quarta edizione.
Protagonisti in scena, Pino Micol, voce altisonante del teatro italiano, e Manuele Morgese, vincitore del premio speciale per lo spettacolo Ennio Flaiano 2009; i due vestiranno rispettivamente i panni di Bonifacio VIII e di Celestino V, e altri giovani attori della compagnia teatrozeta, accompagnati dalle note dal vivo del quartetto "Gli archi del Cherubino", il tutto confezionato dall’innovativa regia di Riccardo Reim.

In this performance about CELESTINO V we desire to face some important moments of the life and the works of the character without the pretension to be precise in the reconstruction of the minor history; but with the desire to spread the knowledge of a man that, hermit, pope and then saint, is certainly worthy of our consideration.
Through the magic of theater it is our intent to recreate the atmospheres and the suggestions that a history of the medioevo can emanate, to make live again a man that is very often confused with his legend and with the fascinating world of the riders Templari and of the Saint Graal. Obviously our project is a performance, therefore particularly interested to the spectacular side of this history. Trying to be exact in the historical substance, we want to follow some suggestive theses that perhaps belong more to the legend that to the reality.
Inspired by the unusual human story of the hermit from Abruzzo and aware of the innumerable legends about the history of his renouncement to the throne of Saint Peter and his mysterious death, the dramaturgical plant will havethe purpose to recall Celestino V in his historical epoch, and contemporarily that to reread the history of a man that had to face his great and bitter destiny.
An important reference for the realization of this special project is the text written by the abruzzese Ignazio Silone entitled "The adventure Of A Poor Christian", that was realized in theater in 1968 with the direction of Valerio Zurlini and that was played by Giancarlo Giannini, produced by the Theatre of L'Aquila and a series of original documents of the epoch that Riccardo Reim used in the definitive layout of the entitled text: "Celestino V, Secular representation for the small saint Pier Celestino". The project, proposed by Teatrozeta, will have put in scene December 28 th 2009 in L'Aquila, and it will mark the beginning of the new theatrical season "Volo Libero".
Protagonists in scene, Pino Micol, resonant voice of the Italian theater and Manuele Morgese, winner of the special prize for the show Ennio Flaiano 2009; the two actors will feature respectively the character of Bonifacio VIII and of Celestino V and other young actors of the company Teatrozeta, accompanied by the live music of the quartet "The arcs of the Cherub"; the director of this performance is Riccardo Reim.
